NAPS '99 - Hearst Castle Tour

The beautiful Central Coast of California is the site for the 1999 North American Power Symposium to be held October 11 - 12, 1999 and it is also the home of Hearst Castle. Today the castle is a State Historical Monument. Its richness and beauty are preserved by the California Park Service. If you are attending the conference you will want to sign up early for this limited tour offer. It is likely the tour, priced at a reasonable $18.00 per person, will be filled quickly by the first 47 who sign up.

Those registering for the tour will spend a relaxed Sunday afternoon before the Symposium travelling by motor coach up the scenic coastal Highway 1 to the hilltop treasure where "craftsmen labored nearly 28 years to create a magnificent estate of 165 rooms and 127 acres of gardens, terraces, pools and walkways. Its rooms are still furnished with an impressive collection of Spanish and Italian antiques and art". Hearst Castle was once the home of newspaper publisher William Randolph Hearst.

Tour will be Sunday October 10, 1999 leaving the Embassy Suites Hotel at 1:00 p.m. and returning at approximately 5:00 p.m.
