By Car:
San Luis Obispo is located 200 miles north of Los Angeles and 230
miles
south of San Francisco on U.S. Highway 101 and State Highway 1.
By Air:
San Luis is served
by San Luis Obispo County Airport just seven miles from downtown. American Eagle and United Express
(associated with United Airlines) provide frequent service to Los Angeles, San Jose, San Francisco
and other points both north and south. You can rent a car while visiting, or maybe a
limousine.
By Bus:
Greyhound and many tour and charter services provide transportation to San Luis Obispo.
By Train:
Amtrak runs daily to points north and south, often with connecting bus
service. There are currently two trains daily with service as far
south as San Diego and one train daily serving points north as far as Seattle, Washington.
