Art MacCarley, Prof. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, DirectorThe Cal Poly Transportation Electronics Laboratory is a center for the development and testing of advanced electronic technologies for automotive and highway applications. Personnel include an interdisciplinary team of faculty, staff and students in electrical, computer, mechanical and civil engineering. Resources include complete video component testing capability, a computer vision software development laboratory, infrared imaging and image analysis equipment, an extensive video library of traffic scenes in visible and infrared, complete field data collection apparatus, mechanical and electronic prototyping facilities, and supporting CAD and system simulation applications. The laboratory also shares complete engine and emissions testing facilities and an instrumented vehicle test track. |
